NFL Betting NFC South Preseason Angles

NFL betting on the teams from the NFC south this preseason could be tricky as each team is a contender and yet each has things that need to be accomplished in the NFL gambling preseason.

NFL betting fans must also be aware of the priorities of these teams heading into the regular season and how that translates into NFL gambling exhibition angles.  The defending NFC south division champion Carolina Panthers probably have the least amount of work to do in the NFL betting preseason.

This is an established veteran crew that went 12-4 during the 2008 NFL gambling regular season only to be upset in the playoffs by the eventual NFC champion Arizona Cardinals.

As a result the most important thing that Carolina wants to accomplish during the NFL betting preseason is to gain back their confidence and optimism, while also giving backups and younger players plenty of playing time.  The Atlanta Falcons were the surprise team of the 2008 NFL betting season.

Atlanta must maintain their hunger and discipline during the 2009 NFL betting preseason and work to maintain their good habits acquired last year.  The Falcons came very far very fast and they will want to stay sharp in the NFL betting preseason to not allow any doubts to creep in before the regular season campaign.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired long time head coach Jon Gruden after their epic collapse down the stretch last year in which they blew a certain playoff spot.  Starting quarterback Jeff Garcia has also departed making this the team with the most to accomplish in the NFL betting preseason.

Not only do the Bucs need to change their attitude and offense while sorting out the quarterback position, they must also get used to new coach Raheem Morris, who is 32 years young.

The New Orleans Saints will want to use the NFL betting preseason to shore up their defense as that is all that is keeping them out of Super Bowl contention.  Do not expect the Saints to play quarterback Drew Brees much as they don’t want him hurt for when it counts.
