Football odds expectations remain low for the rebuilding Cleveland Browns who are going to be an underdog with the odds NFL in most of their games this year.

New England has the top scoring offense in the NFL while their defense ranks 21st for points allowed but has shown improved play after a rocky start.  Quarterback Tom Brady has a 96.6 QB rating and a 12/4 touchdown/interception ratio.

Cleveland has a record of 2-5 straight up and 3-4 with the NFL betting lines.  The Browns have gone over the total in 4 of their 7 games.  Cleveland is coming off a bye week that followed a 30-17 win at New Orleans in which they were 12 point dogs.

Rookie Colt McCoy was the starting quarterback the past 2 games for Cleveland and may start again as first stringer Jake Delhomme is doubtful while second stringer Seneca Wallace is questionable.

Cleveland ranks 31st in the NFL for scoring but a respectable 12th for points allowed.  Running back Peyton Hillis has been a key asset with 460 yards and a 4.4 yards per carry average with 5 touchdowns so far this season.

New England has covered 19 of their last 28 games as a road favorite.  Cleveland has paid out in 8 of their last 10 AFC games and in 8 of their last 11 as an underdog.  New England has gone under the total in 6 of their last 7 games as a road favorite while the Browns have gone over the total in 4 of their last 5 as a dog.
