Football Gambling - Redskins at Titans

Football gambling handicappers have seen the Washington Redskins slowly but surely revert back to their losing ways and re-emerge as a poor NFL betting value.

Football gambling results have been mixed for the inconsistent Tennessee Titans although they are still among the top NFL betting playoff contenders in the AFC.

The Tennessee Titans will host the Washington Redskins on Sunday with a FOX telecast set to kickoff at 1:05 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling opened with Tennessee as a 7 point favorite with an over/under of 44.

The Washington Redskins have begun to fade with the NFL gambling odds as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games straight up with just1 payout in those 4 matchups to now stand at 4-5 straight up and 4-4-1 against the spread with 5 of their games going over the total.

The Redskins are coming off a humiliating 59-28 blowout home loss to Philadelphia on Monday Night Football and went over the total for the 3rd time in 4 games.

What made the game even more embarrassing is that former Eagle quarterback Donovan McNabb was clearly outclassed by new Philly signal caller Michael Vick, who backed up McNabb last year.  It was also announced before the game that McNabb signed an extension with the Redskins.

A lot of fans are now questioning that decision.  Washington ranks 22nd in the NFL for scoring and 26th for points allowed.  This is a dangerous spot for the Redskins as their season and confidence is imploding and they will face a hungry and capable host.

The Tennessee Titans have a record of 5-4 straight up and with the NFL gambling lines with 6 of their games going over the total.  Tennessee is 1 game behind AFC South Division leader Indianapolis.

The Titans are suffering from a two game losing streak after last week’s 29-17 loss at Miami as they went over the total for the 3rd straight time and 5th time in 6 games.  Tennessee ranks 9th in the NFL for points allowed and 3rd for points scored.

Chris Johnson leads the NFL’s 3rd ranked rush offense with 838 yards and 9 touchdowns.  This is a winnable and needed game for Tennessee to get the ship back on course for a serious playoff run.

These two teams have gone over the football gambling total in their last 4 consecutive meetings.
