Football gambling respect for the Chicago Bears continues to grow as they lead the NFC North Division heading into the home stretch with the football betting odds.

In a potential Super Bowl preview matchup the AFC East leading New England Patriots will travel to Chicago to take on the NFC North leading Bears with a telecast on CBS set to start a 4:20 PM ET.  Sports Gambling opened with New England as a 3 point favorite with a total of 43.5.

New England has a NFL gambling record of 10-2 straight up and 7-4-1 against the spread with 10 of their games going over the total.  The Patriots are coming off their most impressive win of the season last Monday night as they destroyed the New York Jets 45-3 in a nationally televised first place showdown in the AFC East Division.

New England boasts the top scoring offense in the NFL while the revamped defense has shown slow and methodical improvement to rank 18th for points allowed.  Tom Brady is having one of the best seasons of his Hall of Fame career and has 3029 yards passing.

Chicago has a betting on NFL football record of 9-3 straight up and 6-5-1 against the spread with 8 of their games going under the total.  The Bears lead Green Bay by 1 game in the NFC North Division and are coming off a 24-20 win at Detroit in which they failed to cover as 5 point road favorites.

Chicago is riding a 5 game winning streak and boasts one of the NFL’s top ranked defenses as they rank 3rd for points allowed.  The offense has been inconsistent, though better of late, and ranks 21st in the NFL for scoring.  The Bears boast one of the top kicking teams units in the game.

If ever there was the possibility of a football gambling letdown for the Patriots this would figure to be the week but there is no sign in their DNA that New England would not be prepared, especially with Bill Belichick as coach.

Chicago continues to gain confidence and has the defense to take this one to the wire.  The key will likely come down to turnovers and the Bears strong special teams.
