Football Gambling - AFC East and North Overview at Sports Gambling

Football gambling fans will have a great race of quality teams in both the AFC East and AFC North when betting the odds NFL in 2009.

Football gambling handicappers will start at the top with the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers to beat the odds NFL and win their respective divisions.  The New England Patriots had a successful 11-5 football gambling season and lost a tie breaker to the Miami Dolphins for the division title and playoff spot against the odds NFL even though superstar quarterback Tom Brady missed the season.

Brady will be back for this football gambling campaign and that instantly makes the Patriots a legitimate threat to go all the way.  Miami went from worst to first last year and the football gambling question is whether they came too far too fast or if they are legit.

The New York Jets will welcome a new coach in Rex Ryan and have parted ways with quarterback Brett Favre.  They may take step back as a result.  The Buffalo Bills continue to operate in football gambling mediocrity.  The Pittsburgh Steelers will be the favorites of the AFC north after their Super Bowl title.

Pittsburgh won it all despite an up and down football gambling season from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.  If “Big Ben” can maintain his playoff form the Steelers will be a hot football gambling commodity.  The Baltimore Ravens, like Miami, surprised the football gambling world with their rapid rise to the AFC championship game.

The question for them is also whether or not they are a flash in the pan or the real deal.  The loss of defensive coordinator Rex Ryan to the Jets may be a liability in the long run.  The Cincinnati Bengals looked to be a team on the rise a few years ago but have slipped back into their old form as inept losers.

Head coach Marvin Lewis needs to make the playoffs to save his job.  Eric Mangini arrives at Cleveland from the Jets where he was run out of town.  Mangini takes over a problem team in Cleveland that has a lot of room for improvement.
