2009 NFL Draft Odds Top Players at Sports Gambling
2009 NFL draft odds have never been more popular and the 2009 NFL draft betting board is loaded with talent and possibility. The projected 2009 NFL draft odds top pick is outside linebacker Aaron Curry of Wake Forrest.
The 6’1” 254 pounder was a first team all ACC member and the Butkus Award winner as the nation’s top linebacker. Just because Curry is listed as the top player, however, doesn’t guarantee that he will go first in the 2009 NFL draft betting order.
The 0-16 Detroit Lions will get the first pick on the 2009 NFL draft odds board and are projected to be considering quarterback Matthew Stafford from Georgia. Stafford surrendered his senior season to come out for the 2009 NFL draft odds. He finished a career at Georgia highlighted by 51 touchdowns and 33 interceptions.
Stafford is projected as the 8th best player on the 2009 NFL draft odds rankings but we mention him because of his stature as the top quarterback and likelihood of a higher draft position. Michael Crabtree, a wide receiver from Texas Tech, is another player to keep a sharp eye on for the 2009 NFL draft odds.
Crabtree is projected to be the third best player on the board. He won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver in both 2007 and 2008. Last season he caught 97 passes for 1165 yards and 19 touchdowns. Defensive end Brian Orakpo of Texas is listed as fourth best on the board.
Orakpo is 6’3” and 263 pounds with top speed for his position. In 2008 he was a first team All American and All Big 12. He had 19 tackles for losses in 2008. Offensive tackle Eugene Monroe of Virginia is also a high projection on the 2009 NFL draft odds.
He was a second team All American last year. Penn State defensive end Aaron Maybin rounds out the top of the list. He enters the 2009 NFL draft odds as a third year sophomore that led the Big Ten in sacks last season.
