NCAA odds expectations are as low as ever for the Utah State Aggies as they have again failed to deliver long term value with the NCAA football odds.
The #11 Boise State Broncos will host the Utah State Aggies on Saturday with a kickoff set for 3:05 PM ET. Sports-Gambling opened with Boise State as a 40 point favorite.
The Utah State Aggies have a record of 4-7 both straight up and with the NCAA odds with 7 of their games going under the total. Utah State is coming off a 28-6 home loss to Idaho which snapped a 2 game winning streak.
The Aggies are showing modest progress under 2nd year coach Gary Anderson but have a long way to go as this is a program that has not made a bowl game since 1997. The offense ranks 92nd overall for scoring while the defense ranks 96th for points allowed. Quarterback Diondre Borel has been erratic with an 8/11 TD/INT ratio.
The Boise State Broncos had their dream of a BCS title shot or berth in the Rose Bowl be shattered once and for all with their 34-31 overtime loss at Nevada last Friday as they blew a 24-7 lead and were let down when kicker Kyle Brotzman missed chip shot field goals both at the end of regulation and in overtime.
Boise State was outgained, however, 528-493 in total yards. The loss has to be a blow to the egos of the Broncos who will now hear even more derision about their legitimacy as a true title contender in the BCS.
Boise State is still an outstanding football team as they rank 4th for both total offense and total defense and Kellen Moore has been one of the most prolific quarterbacks in college football.
In his 3 year career the junior signal caller has a 94-18 TD/INT ratio and will be looking to go over the 3500 yard mark in passing for the third straight season in this matchup. Boise State is now 10-1 straight up and 8-3 with the NCAA football betting lines.
The big question for this one is whether Boise will come out angry and looking for justification with the NCAA football lines or if they will be flat after having their season ruined last week.
