NCAA odds excitement and respect has returned to the Hawaii Warriors as they have had an impressive bounceback season with the NCAA football odds.
The Hawaii Warriors will host the UNLV Rebels on Saturday with kickoff set for 10:35 PM ET. Online sportsbooks opened with Hawaii as a 34 point favorite.
UNLV has a record of 2-10 straight up and 5-7 with the NCAA football lines as just 4 of their games have gone under the total. The Rebels are coming off a 48-14 blowout loss at San Diego State. UNLV is simply one of the worst programs in the country as they rank near the bottom of national offense and defense rankings.
First year coach Bobby Hauck is impressive but he may be spitting into a hurricane as UNLV has proven to be a coaching graveyard with just occasional spurts of success as the Rebels last winning season was in 2000.
Hawaii on the other hand has recovered from a 6-7 campaign last year to stand at 9-3 straight up and 10-2 with the NCAA football betting lines as they have proven to be one of the best values on the board all year.
The Warriors have gone over the total just 5 times this year despite boasting the number 1 ranked passing attack and 12th ranked scoring offense in the country. The defense has shown vast improvement under third year coach Greg McMackin as it ranks 41st overall.
Quarterback Bryant Moniz has passed for a 66% completion rate with an astounding 4249 yards and a 32/10 touchdown interception ratio. Alex Green is yet another dangerous weapon with 1032 yards rushing and an eye popping 8.7 yards per carry average with 16 TD’s.
Greg Salas leads the receiving corps with 1581 yards with 10 touchdowns while Kealoha Pilares has 1149 yards receiving with 14 touchdowns. Hawaii is quickly garnering attention as one of the most potent offensive teams in the country.
The favorite has beaten the NCAA odds in 4 of the last 5 matchups in this head to head series. UNLV is just 17-35 against the spread following a straight up loss while Hawaii is 25-10 against the board versus teams with a losing record.
