NCAA odds excitement has returned to the Florida State Seminoles as they have emerged as a fast rising commodity with the NCAA football odds.

The #15 Virginia Tech Hokies will take on the #21 Florida State Seminoles in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Kickoff is set for 7:50 PM ET and the game will be telecast on ESPN.  Sports-Gambling opened with Virginia Tech as a 4.5 point favorite.

Virginia Tech has a record of 10-2 straight up and 9-3 with the NCAA football lines as 9 of their games have gone over the total.  After opening the season with losses to Boise State and 1-AA James Madison the Hokies have shown remarkable resiliency and improvement in ripping off 10 straight wins to capture the ACC Coastal Division title.

Tech is coming off a 37-7 home payout over Virginia as they went under the total for the 5th straight game.  Tech ranks 21st for points scored and 13th for points allowed.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been sensational with 2258 yards passing and a 20/4 TD/INT ratio while Darren Evans has rushed for 744 yards with Taylor right behind with 613 yards.  David Wilson has rushed for 573 yards as all 3 ball carriers are well above 5 yards per attempt.

Florida State has a record of 9-3 straight up and 7-5 with the NCAA football betting lines as 8 of their games have gone under the total.  Florida State has won 3 games in a row and is coming off a 31-7 home payout over Florida in dominating fashion.

The Seminoles have responded with the fresh approach of first year head coach Jimbo Fisher as they rank 11th for defensive points allowed and 38th for offensive scoring.

Christian Ponder may be the biggest offensive name as the quarterback but Chris Thompson, Ty Jones, and Jermaine Thomas are all averaging better than 5.5 yards per rush attempt.  Thomas and Jones are both listed as questionable for this one.  Ponder did pass for 221 yards and 3 TD’s in the win over Florida.

Florida State has covered the NCAA odds in 4 of their last 5 meetings with Virginia Tech.
