NCAA gambling handicappers will be looking at a big price as TCU hosts Wyoming in a CBS College Sports NCAA football gambling telecast.
Kickoff Saturday is set for 3:35 PM Eastern and Sports-Gambling opened with TCU as a 34.5 point favorite.
The Wyoming Cowboys have a record of 2-3 straight up and 3-2 with the NCAA odds. The Cowboys got a much needed 20-15 win at Toledo last week as 4 point road dogs to stop a 3 game losing streak and get back into the bowl hunt.
Wyoming’s offense is struggling with a horrible ranking of 119th while the defense has done little better and is 110th in the country. Those are not numbers that inspire confidence against powerful TCU.
The #5 TCU Horned Frogs have a record of 5-0 straight up but just 2-3 with the NCAA lines. The Frogs are losing board value as the public becomes more attracted to them. Last week they were unable to cover the expensive price tag of 32.5 in a 27-0 win at woeful Colorado State.
TCU ranks 10th in the nation for scoring and 6th in the country for points allowed. Quarterback Andy Dalton has not been flawless with a 6/4 touchdown/interception ratio but running back Ed Wesley has a 7.1 yards per carry average and 497 yards.
Although Wyoming has gotten the money in just 8 out of their last 29 Mountain West Conference games the Cowboys have paid out in 29 of their last 43 games when coming off a cover against the spread. Wyoming has gotten the money in 8 consecutive road games.
TCU has been a cash cow at home with 46 payouts in their last 67 games at Amon G Carter Stadium. The Frogs have failed to bring home the bacon in just 8 out of their last 29 Mountain West Conference games.
Wyoming has gone under the total in just 8 out of their last 11 road games while TCU has gone over the total in just 5 out of their last 21 games when coming off a game in which they failed to cover the spread. Wyoming has failed to payout in their last 5 NCAA gambling matchups with TCU.
