NCAA football odds handicappers will have their choice of two teams that have been up and down with inconsistent results with the NCAA betting lines.

Kickoff for this one is set for 8 PM Eastern Time.  Sports-Gambling opened with Cincinnati as an 8 point home favorite.

The South Florida Bulls are coming off a tough 20-6 loss last week at West Virginia on ESPN Thursday Night Football to fall to a NCAA football gambling record of 3-3 straight up and 2-4 against the spread.  The Bulls have gone under the total in 4 out of 6 games this year.

Offense has been the major problem in head coach Skip Holtz’s first year on the job as the Bulls rank 103rd for total offense.  Quarterback BJ Daniels is really struggling with a horrific 4/10 touchdown/interception ratio and just 6.4 yards per attempt.  His 3 interceptions at West Virginia were the difference last week.

Moise Plancher has been solid out of the backfield with 352 yards.  South Florida’s defense is one of the best and that is what makes them a contender as they rank 18th in the nation for points allowed.

The Cincinnati Bearcats are coming off an ESPN Friday Night win at Louisville last week 35-27 as 2.5 point favorites to improve their overall NCAA football wagering record to 3-3 both straight up and against the spread.

After a 1-3 start the Bearcats are starting to turn things around under first year coach Butch Jones as they have paid out in 3 straight games.  Quarterback Zach Collaros has a phenomenal 17/3 touchdown/interception ratio and is averaging 8.5 yards per attempt with 1455 yards.

Isaiah Pead is averaging 8.8 yards per rush with 547 yards and DJ Woods is averaging 17.7 yards per catch with 6 touchdowns, while Armon Binns has 16.4 yards per catch and 7 touchdowns.  The defense ranks 40th for points allowed.

Cincinnati’s offense is beginning to click but their defense is questionable and South Florida’s stop unit should keep them in the game.  If Daniels can cut down on mistakes the Bulls could pull off the upset.

Cincinnati has covered the NCAA football odds in 6 consecutive games against South Florida and has paid out in 9 of their last 13 Big East games.
