NCAA football gambling handicappers always respect Fresno State as a threat to get the money anytime, anywhere, and against anyone with the NCAA odds.
Bronco Stadium in Boise, ID will host the uDrove Humanitarian Bowl with a telecast on ESPN set to begin at 5:30 PM ET on Saturday, December 18. The Northern Illinois Huskies will matchup with the Fresno State Bulldogs and Sports Gambling opened with uDrove Humanitarian Bowl odds of Northern Illinois -2.
Northern Illinois has a record of 10-3 straight up and 9-3-1 with the college football odds. The Huskies went over the total in 8 out of 13 games. NIU lost the Mid American Conference Championship Game to Miami-OH in heartbreaking fashion 26-21 but the season still must be considered a marked success.
The Huskies are one of the best balanced teams in the land as they rank 13th for points scored and 16th for points allowed. NIU has the nation’s 7th ranked rush attack led by Chad Spann’s 1293 yards and 5.3 yards per carry average with a whopping 20 touchdowns.
Chandler Harnish finished with a strong 20/5 TD/INT ratio at quarterback and averaged 8.4 yards per attempt.
Fresno State has a NCAA football wagering mark of 8-4 straight up and 5-6-1 against the spread with an even 6/6 split on totals. The Bulldogs are coming off a 25-23 home win over Illinois, a bowl team from the Big Ten, to cap off their season.
Ryan Colburn passed for nearly 8 yards per attempt with a 21/9 TD/INT ratio and Robbie Rouse gained 1097 yards rushing with a 5.7 yards per carry average. The defense ranked 41st in the nation overall.
Fresno has long prided itself on playing well against top teams and this year they also got the money against a strong Nevada team. The Bulldogs finished behind co-champions Nevada, Boise State, and Hawaii in the Western Athletic Conference.
This looks like one of the better early Bowls on the NCAA football gambling board as each team showed the ability to play well against top competition. The departure of NIU head coach Jerry Kill to Minnesota may be an issue for the Huskies but they must be respected as one of the better mid-major teams in the nation.
