NCAA football gambling handicappers are disappointed in both teams as Tech will limp into a minor bowl while Georgia must win in this NCAA football wagering matchup for a bowl berth.

The Georgia Bulldogs will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday with an ESPN2 telecast set for 7:50 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling opened with Georgia as a 13 point favorite.

The reason that Georgia is such a prohibitive favorite is that Georgia Tech superstar quarterback Josh Nesbitt is injured with a broken arm and out for the rest of the season.

Georgia Tech has a college football betting record of 6-5 straight up and 4-7 against the spread with 6 of their games going under the total.  The Yellow Jackets have suffered a steep decline from their status as Atlantic Coast Conference champions last year.

The Ramblin’ Wreck is coming off a 30-20 home payout against Duke which snapped a 3 game losing streak as they went under the total for the 5th consecutive game.  Tevin Washington has been Nesbitt’s replacement and has a 4.8 yards per carry average in the option attack.

Anthony Allen leads the Yellow Jackets with 1059 yards rushing.  The defense ranks in the middle of the national pack in all statistical categories.

Georgia has a college football gambling record of 5-6 both straight up and against the spread but has shown improvement over the past month after a disastrous 1-4 start.  The Bulldogs are coming off a 49-31 loss at Auburn with a bye that followed.

The Georgia offense has climbed to 26th in the nation for scoring while the defense has also improved to rank 21st nationally.  Aaron Murray has passed for 2580 yards and 9.1 yards per attempt with a 21/6 touchdown/interception ratio.  AJ Green has averaged 16.4 yards per catch with 9 TD’s.

Georgia Tech has paid out in 14 of their last 19 road games while Georgia is 8-2 against the spread versus ACC teams.  Georgia has paid out in just 1 of their last 6 NCAA football gambling matchups at home against Georgia Tech and the host has gotten the money in just 1 of the last 12 meetings in this series.
