NCAA betting odds expectations have crashed and burned for the Texas Longhorns as they are coming off an epic loss last week with the NCAA betting lines.

Texas will host Oklahoma State on Saturday Night with a telecast on ABC set for 8 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling opened with Okie State as a 6.5 point favorite.

The #10 Oklahoma State Cowboys were supposed to be rebuilding this year but have instead reloaded and have a college football betting record of 8-1 straight up and 7-2 against the spread with 7 of their games going over the total.

The Cowboys decimated Baylor last week for a 55-28 home payout to take over sole possession of first place in the Big 12 South Division.

A loss at Texas would not be catastrophic as they would still control their own destiny and would win the division by winning their final 2 games at Kansas and home against Oklahoma so there is that intangible to consider.  OSU ranks 3rd for scoring offense but an alarming 89th for total defense.

Quarterback Brandon Weeden is in contention for All Big 12 honors as he has passed for 2982 yards and a 26-9 touchdown/interception ratio.

Kendall Hunter completes the attack with 1240 yards rushing and 14 TD’s while Justin Blackmon has 1285 yards receiving and a whopping 15 TD’s.  OSU’s offense is simply one of the most prolific in the game.

Texas has a college football gambling record of 4-5 straight up and 2-7 against the spread after their 39-14 blowout loss at Kansas State.  The Horns have gone under the total 6 times and have lost 3 consecutive games both straight up and against the spread.

Texas ranks a dreadful 91st for points scored and 52nd for points allowed.  Quarterback Garrett Gilbert is in danger of losing his job as he has a 7/14 TD/INT ratio and the Horns long term problems in developing a running attack are worse than ever.

Okie State is 14-6 against the spread versus teams with a losing record while Texas as 2-8 against the spread versus teams with a winning record.  The chalk has beaten the NCAA betting odds in 8 of the last 11 matchups between these two teams and the series has gone over the total in 5 of the last 7 meetings.
