Kickoff on Tuesday night is set for 8:05 PM Eastern and the game will be telecast on ESPN2.  Sports-Gambling opened with Temple as a 7.5 point home favorite.  Ohio and Temple are tied for first place in the Mid American Conference East Division with league records of 5-1.

Ohio has a college football gambling record of 7-3 both straight up and against the spread with 6 of their games going over the total.  Ohio is coming off a 34-17 home payout over Buffalo and has won 6 consecutive games straight up.  The Bobcats are 3-1 against the spread on the road.

Coach Frank Solich wins with a power running game and solid defense that is ranked 33rd for points allowed.  Quarterback Philip Bates, who leads the Bobcats in rushing with over 7 yards per carry, is questionable for this one due to an undisclosed issue.  The other quarterback, Boo Jackson, is out indefinitely due to an eye injury.

Temple has a NCAA football wagering record of 8-2 straight up and 7-3 against the spread with 7 of their games going under the total.  The Owls have a rock ribbed defense that is ranked 12th for points allowed.  Temple is coming off a 28-10 payout at Kent State.  Bernard Pierce leads the offense with 728 yards rushing and 10 TD’s.

Ohio has beaten the college football odds in 15 of their last 20 Mid American Conference games.  They have gone 24-8 against the spread when coming off a straight up win.  Temple is 6-2 against the spread when coming off a bye week and is 5-1 against the number when coming off a straight up win.

Ohio has gone under the total in 6 of their last 8 games when coming off a payout.  Temple has gone under in 7 consecutive games when coming off a straight up win.  Temple has failed to cover the last 3 meetings in this head to head series and Ohio scored a 35-17 win over the Owls last year.
