College football odds excitement has also returned to Maryland as the Terrapins have shown better than expected value with the college football lines.

The #25 Florida State Seminoles will travel to Maryland to take on the Terrapins with an ABC telecast that is set to kickoff at 8:05 PM Eastern.  Sports-Gambling opened with Florida State as a 5.5 point favorite.  This game is a first place showdown for the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division.

The Florida State Seminoles have a college football gambling record of 7-3 straight up and 5-5 against the spread with 6 of their games going under the total.  Florida State has a half a game lead in the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division over Maryland and North Carolina State.

The Seminoles are coming off a thrilling 16-13 home win over Clemson although they failed to cover as 6.5 point chalks as they needed a 55 yard field goal at the gun to escape defeat.  The win snapped a 2 game losing streak and prevented them from losing the top spot in the division.

Defense has been the surprising strength of Florida State as they rank 19th for points allowed while the offense ranks 34th for points scored.  Florida State has had a better than expected ground game led by Chris Thompson, who has 550 yards while Christian Ponder has been somewhat inconsistent while passing for 1647 yards.

The Maryland Terrapins have a NCAA football wagering record of 7-3 both straight up and against the spread with just 3 of their games going under the total.  Coach Ralph Friedgen was considered fired before the season even began but he has orchestrated a strong turnaround season that could end up with a berth in the ACC title game.

The Terps are coming off a 42-23 win at Virginia that followed a tough 26-20 loss at Miami.  Defense has been the reason for the improved play of the Terps as they rank 31st for points allowed while the offense has struggled and ranks 94th in the country with no real strength displayed.

The road team has beaten the college football odds in the last 2 meetings in this head to head series which has gone under the total 3 consecutive years.
