College Football Gambling - Wake Forest at Stanford

College football gambling excitement will include a matchup of impressive undefeated teams in an ESPN2 college football betting nightcap as Stanford hosts Wake Forest.

College football gambling handicappers continue to respect the job that Jim Harbaugh has done as Stanford head coach as the Cardinal is a college football betting favorite to win the Pac 10.

Jim Grobe is an equally respected head coach of Wake Forest that looks to have his team back into contention for another Atlantic Coast Conference title.

Stanford is 2-0 straight up and 1-1 with the college football odds.  The Cardinal is coming off a most impressive 35-0 blowout win over UCLA as 5.5-point road favorites which has catapulted them as a team that is a mark for all further conference opponents as the team to beat for the Rose Bowl.

Quarterback Andrew Luck threw 2 touchdown passes while safety Michael Thomas returned a fumble 21 yards for a score.

“It means a lot,” said Thomas.  “A win here at the Rose Bowl, this is where we want to get back to.  Getting the first win here, just get that taste in your mouth, see the atmosphere and you’re like ‘Man, I’ve got to get back here.”

Harbaugh was impressed with his defense.  “We talked a lot about packing the defense for a road game,” said the Stanford coach.  Stanford had 362 total yards on offense including 211 on the ground as they are proving that their powerhouse ground attack remains despite the loss of Heisman Trophy finalist Toby Gerhart due to graduation.

Wake Forest is 2-0 straight up and 1-1 with the college football lines.  The Demon Deacons are coming off a thrilling 54-48 home win over Duke to open Atlantic Coast Conference play as they got the money as 5.5-point favorites.

Backup quarterback Tanner Price was the hero with 3 touchdown passes and another one on the ground as he passed for 190 yards.  Price played the entire 2nd half after splitting time in the first half.  Chris Givens caught 4 passes for 159 yards and a TD.

In last year’s college football gambling matchup between these two teams Wake Forest scored a 24-17 home win over Stanford as 3-point home favorites.  The Demon Deacons have gone just 2-5 against the spread as road dogs while Stanford has gone 6-2 against the spread as a home favorite.

Kickoff is at 11:15 PM Eastern Time and Sports-Gambling opened with Stanford as a 17-point chalk.
