College football gambling handicappers will have what amounts to the title game of the SEC East Division on Saturday in a NCAA football wagering matchup that has been anticipated since summer.

The Florida Gators will host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday night with an ESPN telecast that is set to kickoff at 7:15 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling opened with Florida as a 6.5 point favorite.

Both teams have 4-3 records in the Southeastern Conference and the winner of this game will likely play in the SEC title game next month against the winner of the West Division in Atlanta.

#23 South Carolina has a record of 6-3 straight up but just 4-5 with the college football odds as 8 of their games have gone over the total.  The Gamecocks are coming off a horrible performance last week as they were routed at home by Arkansas 41-20.

The game was something of a throwaway, however, as it had little bearing on the East Division standings and it looks as if USC was peaking ahead.

Stephen Garcia tossed 2nd interceptions against Arkansas and was pulled by coach Steve Spurrier, the former head man at Florida who would love nothing more than to beat his Alma Mater on their home field for the title.

Marcus Lattimore was also held in check last week but still has 752 yards in his freshman season.  Garcia has a nice 68% completion rate and 9.3 yards per attempt but an erratic and worrisome 14/9 touchdown/interception ratio.

#22 Florida has won and covered their last 2 games with the college football lines to snap a 3 game losing streak and improve to an overall record of 6-3 straight up and 5-4 against the spread with 6 of their games going over the total.

Last week the Gators won at Vanderbilt 55-14 as John Brantley passed for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns while 2nd string quarterback Jordan Reed passed for 120 and rushed for a team best 84 yards with a score.  Florida ranks 38th in the nation for scoring and 25th for points allowed as they are playing their best football of the season.

Florida has a college football gambling record of 4-1 against the spread at home against the Gamecocks.
