The Oregon State Beavers are coming off an important 31-28 home win over Arizona State that was a push with the NCAA football odds.  Head coach Mike Riley’s team is now 2-2 straight up and 2-1-1 against the spread with all 4 of their games going over the total.

Oregon State has one of the most dangerous and exciting tandems in college football with the Rodgers brothers.  Jacquizz leads the team in rushing with 398 yards and 6 touchdowns while James has receptions for a 12.6 yards per catch average and an even more impressive 29.4 yards per kick return along with a lethal 22 yards per punt return.

New starting quarterback Ryan Katz is having an up and down start to his on the job training with a 52% completion rate and just 6.8 yards per attempt but with a 7/0 touchdown/interception ratio.  The Beavers defense ranks an alarming 105th in the country.

The Arizona Wildcats have a record of 4-0 straight up and 3-1 with the NCAA football lines and are coming off a bye week that followed a 10-9 home win over Cal in which they failed to cover as 6 point home favorites.  Arizona ranks 38th in offense and 11th in passing and a rock ribbed 2nd in the nation for defense.

Quarterback Nick Foles has passed for 1089 yards and a 6/4 TD/INT ratio while Nicholas Grigsby is averaging a nice 5.6 yards per carry to balance out the attack.  Juron Criner is a dangerous receiver with 20 catches good for an 18.1 yards per reception average with 2 touchdowns.  Travis Cobb is averaging 37.8 yards per kick return.

Oregon State has covered 9 out of the last 11 college football gambling matchups in this series and their last 4 trips to Tempe, AZ.  Just 3 out of the last 12 meetings in this series have gone over the total.
