Mississippi State has a record of 8-4 straight up and 6-6 with the NCAA football lines as 8 of their games went under the total.  Mississippi State beat Ole Miss 31-23 in their season finale.  The Bulldogs finished 27th in the nation for defensive points allowed and ranked 16th in the country for rushing led by Vick Ballard’s 905 yards.

Mississippi State scored wins over Georgia and Florida this year and nearly upset #1 Auburn in a 17-14 week 2 loss.   Mississippi State has reached a level not seen since the coach Jackie Sherrill era and is looking to build on their success as a young team with plenty of upside.

Michigan has paid out in 6 consecutive non conference games but is just 1-6 against the spread in their last 7 games as a dog.  Michigan is just 7-19 against the spread after a straight up loss.  Mississippi State has covered 6 of their last 8 college football gambling matchups as a favorite.
