College football gambling fans will have a powerful Tide team going up against the Gamecock squad that is coming off a college football betting bye with 2 weeks to prepare.

Sports-Gambling opened with Alabama as a 7 point road favorite.  Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM Eastern and CBS will telecast the game.

The Alabama Crimson Tide flexed its muscles on a national stage last week by hammering then 7th ranked Florida 31-6 as 7.5 point home favorites to improve their overall record to 5-0 straight up and 4-1 with the NCAA football odds.  Alabama has gone over the total just once so far this season.

The Tide has shown incredible balance as they are ranked 20th in the country for total offense and number one in the nation for points against.

The running back tandem of 2009 Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and backup Trent Richardson has been phenomenal as both ball carriers are well over 7 yards per carry while quarterback Greg McElroy has been workmanlike.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are coming off a tough 35-27 loss at Auburn in which they imploded in the second half after seemingly having command of the game.

Head Coach Steve Spurrier became impatient with quarterback Stephen Garcia and pulled him in the 4th quarter in what could be argued as an impulsive move as while Garcia fumbled twice in the second half he also had a solid performance passing.  Garcia will start in this one as the Old Ball Coach has since cooled off.

Carolina ranks in the middle of the pack for offensive statistics but their defense has slipped to rank 71st for yards allowed and 33rd for points permitted.  South Carolina has a record of 3-1 straight up and 2-2 with the NCAA football lines and has gone over the total 3 out of 4 times.

In this head to head series the visitor has covered the spread 4 consecutive times.  The Tide has a college football gambling record of 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 road games while the Gamecocks have lost just 1 out of their last 6 games vs. the line when  coming off a bye week, which could be a tell for this one!
