College football betting handicappers will have their choice of two bowl teams from last year that were among the preseason college football gambling favorites to bowl again in 2010.

TCU opened as a 17.5-point favorite at Sports-Gambling.  Kickoff is set for 8 PM Eastern.

The TCU Horned Frogs continue their quest to be the ultimate BCS Party Crasher and are in excellent position with a 3-0 start to the season.  Last week the Frogs scored a 45-10 home win over Baylor as 21-point chalks as the game snuck under the total of 55.5.

The game was far worse than the final score indicated as TCU exploded out of the gate for a 35-3 lead before half time.  TCU quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Andy Dalton continues to be a key asset for TCU with the NCAA football lines as he was 21-23 for 267 yards and 2 TD’s.

Ed Wesley ran for 165 yards on 19 carries with 2 touchdowns.

SMU failed to cover the NCAA football betting odds last week in a 35-21 home win over Washington State as 24-point home chalks.  The Mustangs are 2-1 straight up and against the spread.  Quarterback Kyle Padron was 19-34 for 280 yards and 4 touchdowns.

SMU held a slim 21-14 lead in the 3rd quarter against a WSU team that is among the worst in the country.  So far SMU has lacked the explosiveness of last year.

Although TCU has won 6 out of the last 7 college football betting matchups straight up in this head to head series SMU has gotten the money in 5 of those games.  Just 1 of the last 5 games in this series has gone over the total.

Last year TCU scored a 39-14 win over SMU but failed to cover the 28.5-point spread. TCU has failed to cover their last 3 games as a chalk and has gone over the total in 5 out of their last 6 as a favorite.

The Frogs have gotten the cash in 5 out of their last 6 road games.  SMU has paid out in 8 out of their last 9 as a dog but just 5 out of their last 15 at home.
