What was touted as a rebuilding year for the Oklahoma State Cowboys could instead very well blossom into the ultimate dream season. Oklahoma State has a record of 9-1 straight up and 8-2 with the NCAA betting odds as 7 of their games have gone over the total.
Okie State is coming off a 33-16 blowout win at Texas and controls their own destiny in the Big 12 South Division as if they win out they are in the title game.
Next week looms large for the Cowboys however as they will host Oklahoma in the “Bedlam” game for what could be for all the marbles in the South Division and that could pose the problem of a potential peek ahead and lack of focus for this one.
But with the nation’s top ranked offense going up against woeful Kansas the Cowboys do have some margin for error. Brandon Weeden has been sensational at quarterback with 3391 yards and a 27/10 touchdown/interception ratio.
Kendall Hunter has rushed for 1356 yards and 16 touchdowns while Justin Blackmon is an All America candidate with 1430 yards receiving and 16 TD’s. The Cowboys can score from anywhere on the field and in a wide variety of ways. The defense ranks a mediocre 68th for points allowed.
Kansas has a record of 3-7 straight up and 5-5 with the NCAA betting lines as 6 of their games have gone over the total. KU ranks 107th for points scored and 98th for points allowed. The Jayhawks did get the money last week in a 20-3 loss at Nebraska as 33 point dogs.
Oklahoma State has paid out in 6 of their last 7 college football betting matchups with Kansas and the chalk has covered 5 of the last 6 meetings. The Pokes have paid out in 23 of their last 31 as a favorite of greater than 10 points.
