College Football Betting - USC vs Arizona State

College football betting fans have seen the USC Trojans fall from their usual elite perch with the NCAA lines as they were dominated last week at Oregon.

College football betting handicappers took notice in The Men of Troy getting clobbered 20-47 by the Ducks last Saturday as 3-point favorites with the NCAA lines. The big college football betting question for this week is if USC can get off the mat and back into the race for a New Year’s Day bowl game with the NCAA lines.

They will face an Arizona State team that is coming off a heartbreaking college football betting loss last week to California, 21-23, as the Bears kicked a field goal in the final seconds to secure the win.  Arizona State had coach Denis Erickson admitted that the college football betting defeat was very tough to take.

“This is a tough loss, one of the hardest I’ve been around,” said Erickson.  ”To lose it at the end is very difficult. We’re all drained.” The Sun Devil defense let Cal off the college football betting hook as the Bears drove from their own 19 yard line to set up the winning field goal.

The Sun Devils mental state will definitely be a question mark for their college football betting matchup with USC.  “It’s hard, and the mental state is not good,” said Erickson.  “It wouldn’t be for any team that went through this.”

USC coach Pete Carroll also has a tough task at getting his team ready for this college football betting matchup after losing for the first time by more than 11 points in his USC career.  Oregon had an astounding 613 total yards including 391 on the ground.

“Oregon did everything it wanted to do,” said Carroll, who is not used to being rendered helpless on the sidelines at USC.  USC has beaten the college football betting board in 7 out of their last 9 games with Arizona State and has covered 2 out of their last 3 trips to the Valley of the Sun.

The Trojans have covered just 1 out of their last 8 games on the road however, and just 1 out of their last 7 games overall.
