March Madness betting handicappers will have a field of 64 teams to choose from led by the Ohio State Buckeyes who will enter action with the March Madness betting line as the top seed.
Ohio State was both the regular season and conference tournament champion of the Big Ten and finished with a record of 32-2 straight up and 16-15 against the spread. The Buckeyes are the top seed of the East Regionals and will open action on Friday at Cleveland against the winner of Wednesday’s matchup of Texas San Antonio and Alabama State.
The Duke Blue Devils are the defending national champions and will begin March Madness bet action as the top seed of the West regional. Duke will face Hampton on Friday from Charlotte, NC which is just a few miles from home for them.
Duke was 30-4 straight up and 19-14 against the spread and beat North Carolina in the championship game of the Atlantic Coast conference tournament.
Kansas was the top seed of the Southwest regional and will open up play on Friday from Tulsa, OK against Boston University. While the Jayhawks are a perennial national title contender and regular high seed they have had their share of bet March Madness disasters and upset losses through the years. Kansas was 32-2 straight up and 16-15-1 against the spread.
Pittsburgh was the regular season champion of the Big East Conference and earned the top seed in the Southeast regional as a result. The Panthers will open up on Thursday night from Washington, DC as they will meet the winner of Tuesday’s matchup between North Carolina Asheville and Arkansas Little Rock.
Pitt had an overall record of 27-5 straight up and 14-13 against the spread.
Other notable teams include North Carolina, who earned a number two seed in the East regional and will open up with Long Island on Friday from Charlotte as well.
San Diego State got a #2 seed in the West regional and will open March Madness betting action against Northern Colorado on Thursday from Tucson.
Notre Dame got a #2 seed in the Southwest regional and will open play on Thursday from Chicago against Akron.
