March Madness betting excitement will include the Big Sky Conference Tournament which will offer plenty of opportunity with the March Madness betting line.

The Big Sky Conference Tournament will run from March 5-9 with Northern Colorado, Montana, Weber State, and Northern Arizona as the favorites to win the event.  Northern Colorado and Montana led the Big Sky Conference in the regular season.

Northern Colorado had a record of 18-10 straight up and 11-13-1 against the spread but faded down the stretch as far as board value goes as they paid out in just 2 of their last 9 lined games.  The Bears are a solid offensive team that averaged 72 points per game.  Devon Beitzel was their leading scorer with 20.6 points per game.  They split their two games with Montana this season.

Montana enters March Madness bet action with a record of 20-9 straight up and 12-15 against the spread.  Montana trended significantly under the total this season as they stayed under the number in 16 of 27 lined games.  Montana was one of the premier defensive teams in college basketball as they ranked 18th in the nation for allowing just 60.6 points per game.

Brian Qvale led the Grizzlies in scoring with 15 points per game.  Montana has an outstanding non – conference win on their resume as they defeated UCLA 66-57 as 11.5 point road dogs on December 5.

Weber State is a solid contender to consider with a bet March Madness value play in this tournament.  Weber State was 17-10 straight up and 14-9 against the spread and had excellent board value down the stretch as they got the money in 7 of their last 9 games.

Weber State is a good offensive team that averaged 72.3 points per game although the lack one dominant skill player on that end of the court as Lindsey Hughley was their leading scorer with 12.6 points per game.  The Wildcats split with both Montana and Northern Colorado this season.

There will be plenty at stake in the Big Sky Tournament as all of the teams understand that in order to get a March Madness betting invite to the “Big Dance” they must win this event.
