March Madness odds and Texas A&M have become more synonymous over the past few March Madness betting seasons and it looks like the Aggies will March into the Big Dance again. Texas A&M enhanced their credibility with March Madness odds handicappers by performing well in the Big 12 Conference, which has proven to be one of the deepest and most competitive in all of March Madness betting.
The Aggies had a record of 17-6 straight up and 11-8 with the college basketball gambling lines and were in third place behind Kansas and Kansas State in the Big 12 conference race towards the March Madness odds.
From January 19 through February 6 Texas A&M won five out of six games straight up and covered the March Madness odds in the final three consecutive games of that stretch. Their most impressive win during that run was on February 3 at Missouri as they beat the Tigers 77-74 to cover the March Madness odds as 9.5-point dogs.
The Aggies ended the second longest home court winning streak in the country with that upset. The Aggies do not have any one particular strength that stands out with the March Madness odds. They are instead a solid team that relies on balance and hard work for their run towards the March Madness odds.
Senior guard Donald Sloan is the Aggies major asset with the March Madness odds. Sloan led the team in scoring with 18.4-points per game. Since conference play began Sloan has never played less than 35 minutes in any game as he is the key to A&M’s bid to make the Big Dance for the fifth consecutive season.
“I think he’s been a little under the radar since he’s been here,” said A&M coach Mark Turgeon. “I don’t think anybody in the league can guard him. I really don’t.” Sloan is renowned for his incredible work ethic and dedication. It’s those characteristics that have Aggie fans ready to Dance soon!
