March Madness Bet Surprise Dogs at Sports Gambling
March Madness bet fans had no respect for Georgia entering 2008 tourney action. Nobody that bet March Madness expected anything from UGA. Georgia entered the southeastern conference tournament as a lightly regarded team with no chance at March Madness bet success.
Georgia had finished the regular season with two wins in their final thirteen games straight up and just five payoffs in that stretch. Those were certainly not the numbers of a March Madness bet juggernaut.
It was pretty much expected that Georgia would last no more than a couple of rounds in the SEC tourney and the thought of them making the March Madness bet board in the “Big Dance” was delusional. March Madness bet action for the SEC tourney began with the Bulldogs taking on the Ole Miss Rebels.
Georgia was a 5-point dog and ended up with a thrilling 97-95 overtime win and cover to get off to the best possible start. Still, they were not selling anyone that bet March Madness games.
Georgia’s next March Madness bet assignment was against the highly vaunted Kentucky Wildcats, who were beginning to hit their stride after a slow start and transition under a new coach.
Georgia was a 4-point dog on the March Madness bet board but posted their second consecutive overtime win with a 60-56 triumph to continue on in the SEC tournament. All of a sudden the Bulldogs had March Madness bet momentum that, if they could continue, would place them in the most unlikely spot possible; the NCAA tournament.
Georgia’s third round SEC tournament March Madness bet posting was against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. UGA was a large 10-point dog and a great value for everyone that bet March Madness as they had momentum but still no respect.
Georgia beat their fellow Bulldogs 64-60 to end up in the SEC championship game against Arkansas. If the Bulldogs could post a March Madness bet win against the Razorbacks they would get an automatic bid to the “Big Dance!”.
UGA came through with a 66-57 win, but lost in the first round of the NCAA tourney to Xavier 61-73 as 8.5-point dogs as they were out of gas. Still, Georgia proved that ANYTHING is possible in March Madness.
