March Madness Bet - Midwest Bracketology

March Madness bet action on the Midwest regional offers some intriguing potential matchups in the deeper rounds of play.

March Madness bet fans may flock to top seeded Kansas but there are plenty of other basketball betting Madness March options that may bring better board value. Kansas should enjoy an opening round blowout win over Lehigh but then it could get very dangerous for the Jayhawks as they would face the winner of the March Madness bet matchup between UNLV and Northern Iowa.

UNLV could be a team that would give Kansas plenty of problems.  2-seed Ohio State will face UC Santa Barbara in the first round and then face a dangerous second round opponent in either Georgia Tech or Oklahoma State.

A great potential March Madness gambling upset in the first round would be San Diego State against Tennessee.  San Diego State has plenty of momentum as they are coming off a win in the Mountain West Conference Tournament and have the confidence in playing well down the stretch.

Tennessee was an inconsistent team this year but also brings plenty of potential.  The deeper rounds of the Midwest regional offer plenty of potential fireworks.  Kansas could end up in the Sweet Sixteen against either Michigan State or Maryland, who was tied for the ACC regular season title.

Michigan State was considered to be one of the preseason favorites in the Big Ten before faltering badly down the stretch.  Still, the Spartans are a talented team with plenty of past success in the Big Dance.  Ohio State will not have an easy road to the Sweet Sixteen as a 2-seed as the bottom of this bracket has plenty of parity.

It would be easier to write off teams such as UC Santa Barbara and Ohio before anyone else as the rest of the field has the potential to dance deep into the later rounds.  If Ohio State makes the Sweet Sixteen they would likely face Tennessee, San Diego State, or Georgetown.
