March Madness Bet Bites of a Husky at Sports Gambling
March Madness bet fans recall the Huskies dominance en route to the 2004 national title. Since then they have bitten those who bet March Madness. One of the biggest traps that March Madness bet fans make is that they become fixated on a team that won the title or made the Final Four, even if it was many years ago.
Teams such as Connecticut, Kentucky, and Duke all have this status with the March Madness bet public as serious threats to win the title when they are actually poor March Madness bet values.
Connecticut has, in essence, never recovered from their March Madness bet success in 2004 and those who have bet March Madness based on that 2004 team have been cleaned out on the Huskies ever since.
In 2005 March Madness bet action as defending national champs the Huskies failed to cover either of their March Madness bet attempts in the Big East conference tournament. In the “Big Dance” with all of that March Madness bet respect from the public they failed to cover either of their games and were bounced in the second round.
It got even worse in 2006 March Madness bet action as UConn again failed to cover their only Big East tournament game and then entered the “Big Dance” as one of the most popular teams with those who bet March Madness.
UConn did, it is true, make it to the “Elite Eight” where they were eliminated by George Mason but they FAILED TO COVER ALL FOUR of their NCAA tournament games in the process, proving to be a terrible March Madness bet value.
In 2007 Connecticut finally crashed as they lost their only conference tournament game and failed to even make the “Big Dance”.
Once again in 2008 the Huskies were highly touted and the public was all over them and yet they failed to cover their only conference tournament game and then were humiliated in the first round of the NCAA tournament by San Diego to finish yet another March in the red, proving that 2004 doesn’t count for anything now!
