Bet March Madness excitement is again high for “The Valley” as there are a host of teams that could be factors in March Madness gambling far beyond this event.
The Missouri Valley Conference Tournament will run from March 3-6 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Wichita State was 13-12 against the spread and has a rich tradition of basketball success that gives them plenty of credibility with gamblers.
Another top shelf contender in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament are the Missouri State Bears. Missouri State had a record of 22-7 straight up including 14-3 in “The Valley” while going 13-13-2 against the spread.
Previously known as Southwest Missouri State the Bears are a true basketball school that has had a long record and tradition of success on the hardwood and with the March Madness odds.
Indiana State is best known for being the school of Larry Bird and the loser of the 1979 National Championship Game to Magic Johnson’s Michigan State Spartans but they are a solid team this year in their own right and a bona fide contender to win “The Valley” Tournament.
Indiana State had a record of 16-13 straight up and was 11-6 in league play. Indiana State could prove to be an outstanding basketball betting Madness March value as they were 18-10 against the spread.
Another perennial contender in “The Valley” are the Northern Iowa Panthers, who are best known recently for their upset win over Kansas last year in the NCAA Tournament. Northern Iowa had a record of 19-11 straight up and 10-7 in the conference standings.
The Panthers were 11-15 against the spread as there was some hang over with the gambling public from their success of last season. Northern Iowa is going to need to win this tournament for a shot at “The Big Dance” this year.
Creighton has also had their share of recent bet March Madness success but was just 17-13 straight up this season including 9-8 in the league and 15-13 against the spread.
