Bet March Madness excitement will be high for this year’s Colonial Athletic Association Conference tournament as it will feature two top contenders in March Madness gambling.
The Colonial Athletic Association Tournament will take place in Richmond, Virginia from March 4-7. George Mason, who made the Final Four in 2006 and Old Dominion look to be the cream of the crop for this year’s event as they have been the two most dominant teams in the regular season for the Colonial.
George Mason had an outstanding straight up record of 24-5 and was an even more impressive 15-2 straight up in conference play. George Mason was one of the most profitable teams on the board with a record of 21-6 against the spread to rank as an outstanding value.
George Mason may prove to be a dangerous tournament team once the “Big Dance” begins because despite all of their success and recent memory of a Final Four appearance they still do not garner a lot of attention or respect with the general public that waits to bet on college basketball until March Madness.
Old Dominion could also be a dangerous team with the March Madness odds as they had a straight up record of 23-6 which included a conference mark of 13-4. Old Dominion has not proven to be the same excellent board value that George Mason has been as they were 12-13-1 against the spread.
Hofstra could prove to be a quiet board value and sleeper team in the Colonial and must win the tournament outright to have a shot at getting an at large invite for the “Big Dance.” Hofstra had a record of 19-10 straight up and a 13-4 mark in Colonial action.
Hofstra was 13-12 against the spread but may offer better than expected basketball betting Madness March value with their must win status, especially in later rounds.
Virginia Commonwealth could be another team that can bring value to the board as they had a record of 21-9 straight up and 12-5 in conference play. VCU was a poor value however at 12-17 against the spread which could deter their bet March Madness appeal with fans.
