Philadelphia Sixers vs. L.A. Lakers in Basketball Betting

Basketball betting Tuesday includes an inter-conference matchup between the Sixers and Lakers in NBA betting action from Staples Center, LA.

Basketball betting on Philadelphia has been a bankroll buster as of late while the Lakers have been an inconsistent NBA betting commodity.  The Philadelphia 76ers, while struggling against the basketball betting board recently, have a firm position for the NBA betting post season.

Philadelphia had an overall basketball betting mark of 31-31 straight up and 28-32-2 against the NBA betting lines.  The Sixers have been on a really bad basketball betting stretch the past month; however, as from February 11 through March 11 they went just 3-9 against the spread.

Philadelphia has been a somewhat reliable basketball betting “under” team with a mark of just 25 games over the total out of 62 played.  The Sixers basketball betting strength is their 10th ranked defense.  Their offense was a problem as it ranked a weak 24th overall.

The up and down Los Angeles Lakers have been far and away the best team in the western conference but that has not translated into a lot of basketball betting success.  Los Angeles had an overall NBA betting record of 52-13 straight up and 34-31 against the NBA betting lines.

Los Angeles’ strength against the basketball betting board has been their number one ranked offense.  Their defense had been middle of the road with a 17th place ranking in the NBA.  LA has been something of an “over” basketball betting commodity with a mark of 27 games under out of 65 played.

LA has not been a strong basketball betting chalk as their record of 26-30-1 would indicate.  From February 20 through March 12 the Lakers hit a rather tough stretch against the odds as they got the cash in just 5 out of 11 games, which has been their pattern throughout the season.

One mark of true consistency for the Lakers, as you would expect, has been Kobe Bryant, who led the team in scoring with an average of 28 points per game.  LA beat Philly 114-102 on December 3, covering as 9-point road chalks.
