NBA Playoffs odds handicappers are impressed at Denver’s improved play since getting rid of Carmelo Anthony and look like a threat to cause havoc in the NBA basketball playoffs.

The Denver Nuggets will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night with a starting time of 9 PM ET.  Sports Gambling will have side and total odds on this Western Conference matchup so be sure and open your account today.

Minnesota has been nowhere near the level of a NBA Playoffs betting commodity as they had a record of 17-59 straight up and 34-42 against the spread.  The Wolves were 18-19 against the spread on the road and went under the total in 19 of 37 away games.

Kevin Lowe led Minnesota with 20.2 points and 15.2 rebounds per outing.  Minnesota was ranked 10th in the NBA for scoring offense but was a horrible 30th in the NBA for points allowed on defense.

Denver was 46-29 straight up and 39-32-4 with the NBA odds.  The Nuggets were 19-16-3 against the spread at home and were 19-18-1 over the total as a host.

There was considerable skepticism about the Nuggets playoff chances after the trade of Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups at the All Star Break but Denver has proven to be far better off without the duo as they paid out in 15 out of 17 games after the trade was made.

Denver the top ranked scoring offensive team in the NBA but their defense was ranked 21st for points allowed which must improve come playoff time if Denver is to have success.

This is the fourth meeting of the season between these two teams as the Nuggets have paid out in the last 2 matchups after Minnesota got the money in the opening matchup of the season between these two teams.

Surprisingly enough the Wolves have had phenomenal success at Denver with consecutive payouts in the Mile High City with 2 of the last 3 meetings between the teams going under the total.  Denver should be expected to play with focus in this one however as coach George Karl continues to prepare his team for a run with the NBA Playoffs Odds.
