The home team has been favored in NBA gambling in every game of this series and that is the case again on Friday as the Grizzlies are laying points.
NBA playoffs odds in Games 3 and 4 in Memphis had the Grizzlies as about a two-point favorite. The total in Game 3 was 200.5 but it dropped to 197.5 for Game 4. Both games should have gone under the total but only Game 3 did as Game 4 went three overtimes before the Thunder won 133-123.
Game 3 also went into overtime as the Grizzlies won 101-93. The first two games of the series in Oklahoma City also went way over the total. Oddsmakers just have not been able to get a handle on how many points will be scored in each game.
This game on Friday night can be seen on ESPN. TNT and ESPN have been providing coverage of the playoffs with TNT getting the bulk of the action but ESPN has gotten a couple of days each week and then ABC gets games on the weekend.
This series has been a very competitive one and picking the winner in each game or the total has been difficult in NBA gambling. The teams split their first two games in Oklahoma City and then split the games in Memphis as the series was tied 2-2. Memphis has had a solid home court advantage all season and that could prove to be the difference in Game 6 NBA playoffs odds.
When you look at the matchups between the two teams it is not that helpful to go back into history because this year’s Memphis team is different than past ones. Since the first of the year the Grizzlies have been as good as any team in the NBA on their home court. Oklahoma City was able to win and cover Game 4 though in this series although it took three overtimes to do it.
