NBA playoffs odds favor Miami in the series but in Game 1 the Bulls are favored.  You almost never see a team that is favored in Game 1 as the overall underdog in a series but the public loves to bet the Miami Heat.

The Heat are a 2-1 favorite in NBA gambling to win the Eastern Conference finals against the Bulls but in Game 1 the Bulls are 2-point home favorites and the total is listed at 181.5.

The Bulls and Heat are the top two teams in the Eastern Conference and whichever team wins this series will be favored to win the NBA title.  It should be a quite a matchup.  Derrick Rose was the league MVP this season and he leads a very good Chicago team while the Heat has their trio of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

The Bulls won all three of the regular season matchups but each game was very close with all three being decided by four points or less.  The Bulls had the best home record in the NBA this season at 41-6 but the Heat were the league’s second best road team at 30-15.

It makes for a great matchup on Sunday night in Game 1.  Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade both averaged 29 points per game in the season series while LeBron James averaged 27.5 points per game.

Looking at the betting NBA playoffs odds and trends for Sunday night we find that the Heat are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games. Miami has struggled as an underdog though as they are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 playoff games as an underdog. The Bulls are 4-1 vs. the basketball betting line in their last 5 games as a favorite.

The home team is 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the Heat are just 1-3-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Chicago.  Looking at the total in NBA playoffs odds, the Over is 5-1 in Miami’s last 6 overall. In this series, the Under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Chicago and overall the Under is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings.
