Cleveland had an online basketball betting record of 11-47 straight up and 23-33-2 against the spread.  The Cavaliers were 12-17-1 against the spread on the road and went over the total in 19 out of their 30 away games.

Cleveland can be a dangerous team, as bad as they are, when superior competition is napping as they scored straight up wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Knicks with Carmelo Anthony in late February.  Cleveland ranked 25th for scoring offense and 29th for scoring defense.  Antawn Jamison led the Cavs with 18.1 points per game.

It is interesting to note that Cleveland has seen its board value increase as they lost just 2 out of 10 games against the spread from February 2 through February 25 despite winning just 3 of those games straight up.  The Cavs went over the total in 9 of those 10 games.

New York was 29-27 straight up and 33-21-2 against the spread.  The Knicks had a pro basketball betting mark of 14-13-1 against the spread at Madison Square Garden and were 15-13 over the total as a host.

New York failed to get the money in Anthony’s first two games with the team as the general public was all over the Knicks and decimated their board value.  Stoudemire has led the Knicks into playoff contention with 26.1 points per game and a team leading 8.6 rebounds per outing.

Cleveland has paid out in 7 of their last 10 games against the Knicks including both of their previous matchups with New York this season.  The series has gone over the NBA odds total in the last 4 head to head meetings.
