NBA gambling handicappers and fans are even speculating as to whether the Heat can match the 1996 Chicago Bulls in success with the NBA gambling odds.

Sports-Gambling opened with Miami as a +170 choice to win the NBA Championship.  The Heat were also overwhelming -160 favorites to win the Eastern Conference and opened with an over/under win total of 64.5.

Miami’s established superstar guard Dwyane Wade has been joined by LeBron James from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chris Bosh from the Toronto Raptors to make for the most impressive three man group in memory for NBA handicappers.

The big question entering the season will be Miami’s NBA betting board value as the general public will be wagering hot and heavy on them regardless of price and they may not offer good value, especially early on.

Last year Miami finished 47-35 straight up and paid out 42 times.  They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics in 5 games.

The “Three Kings of Miami” have completely changed all of those dynamics however as this is truly a new and reborn franchise although with last year’s head coach Erik Spoelstra, who is the second youngest coach in the league at 39 years of age.

Spoelstra’s strength is his tight relationship with Wade, which is important as it demonstrates that he knows how to handle big egos and superstar talent.  If Miami stumbles early in the NBA betting online season, however, the rumors will inevitably spread about Heat President and former coach Pat Riley making a return to the bench.

James will enter the NBA gambling season as a 2-time NBA MVP winner and looking to prove his many skeptics wrong.  James has a chip on his shoulder regarding the criticism he took from commentators such as Charles Barkley about his ESPN TV show where he announced his decision to bolt his hometown of Cleveland for South Beach.

Many long time basketball observers, former players, and many handicappers were put off with the hype.

The Three Kings of Miami are all under five year contracts and are expected to win multiple titles.  There will be intense scrutiny and pressure and failure to deliver will likely make life unbearable for all involved.
