NBA betting odds will again have Miami as the favorite to win it all when they matchup with the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA playoffs betting Finals which begin on Tuesday, May 31.
The Miami Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls 4-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals as they put on a furious second half rally to win game 5 at Chicago 83-80 after trailing 45-38 at halftime.
LeBron James was again the hero for the Heat as he has been throughout the post season with a team best 28 points in the series clinching game. Dwyane Wade added 21 points and Chris Bosh poured in 20 for the Heat as the “Three Kings” will enter the Finals in top form.
Before they defeated the Bulls the Heat took out the defending Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics 4-1 and they opened the post season with a 4-1 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Miami has been the second most profitable team in the basketball betting post season with a mark of 10-5 against the spread as they have gone 12-3 straight up.
Lost in all of the hype about the “Three Kings” is the fact that Miami has been one of the better defensive teams in the league all season and especially in the playoffs. The Heat rank 3rd for points allowed on defense during the NBA sports betting playoffs and are ranked 5th in the post season rankings for rebounding.
James has been a dominant force in the playoffs with a team best 26 points per game. James has been a complete player for the Heat as he also is tied for the team lead in rebounds with 8.9 per game and has added 5.5 assists per playoff outing.
Chris Bosh is tied with James for the team lead in rebounding during the playoffs and also has scored 18.6 points per game. Dwyane Wade has been sharp in the post season as well with 23.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
Wade was with the Heat in 2006 when they beat the NBA betting odds in the Finals as they rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Dallas Mavericks for the NBA title.
