NBA betting expectations have not been met by the Milwaukee Bucks as they are yet to show that they can repeat their strong second half run of last year’s NBA basketball betting season.

The Milwaukee Bucks will host the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night with a starting time on ESPN of 9 PM ET.  Sports Gambling will have side and total odds on this important inter-conference matchup that has major playoff implications so be sure and open your account today for action.

Denver had a NBA sports betting record of 31-23 straight up and 23-28-3 against the spread with a mark of 11-13-1 against the odds on the road.  Denver went under the total in 13 of 25 away games.  The Nuggets were a great offensive team that led the NBA in scoring but their defense ranked 25th overall.

Denver was in the thick of the Northwest Division race despite the continuing distraction of the Carmelo Anthony saga that has been going on since summer.  Anthony was the leading scorer on Denver with 25 points per game and he was also the leading rebounder with 7.7 per outing.

Milwaukee had a record of 20-33 straight up and 24-27-2 with the NBA odds. The Bucks were 10-12-2 against the spread at home and were 8-16 under the total as a host.  Milwaukee was still the same excellent defensive team of last year as they ranked 4th in the NBA for points allowed but their offense was 30th in the league for scoring.

Their leading scorer, Corey Maggette, was averaging an almost embarrassing 13.1 points per game.  To further complicate matters Maggette was suffering from a bad back that could potentially limit his playing time.  Milwaukee had a strong second half rally last season to gain the playoffs but that is looking more improbable unless they can get scoring help.

This is the second meeting of the season between these two teams as Denver scored a 105-94 home payout against the Bucks on December 1 as the game went over the total.  It was the first payout for Denver against Milwaukee in 6 games as the series has gone over the NBA betting total in 7 of the last 8 meetings.
