Basketball Betting: Portland Trailblazers vs. Orlando Magic

Basketball betting on Monday features and inter-conference matchup between the Trailblazers and the Magic as NBA basketball betting gains momentum!

Basketball betting fans have not known what to make of Portland so far this young NBA basketball betting season.  Portland began the season with a record of 2-3 straight up and 2-3 against the NBA betting odds, making it apparent that their basketball betting value is yet to find the “sweet spot”.

Portland failed to cover the basketball betting odds in any of their first three road games.  In fact the home team covered the basketball betting odds in all of the Trailblazers first five games.

Portland’s most impressive win of the NBA basketball betting season was a 101-99 overtime home win over the Houston Rockets as they beat the basketball betting odds as 5-point dogs.  Portland has gone over the NBA basketball betting total four out of five games to start the basketball betting season.

Brandon Roy led the Trailblazers in scoring to begin the basketball betting season with an average of 19 points per game.  Roy also led the team in assists with nearly 5.5-per game.  Joel Przybilla was the Trailblazers leading rebounded at the start of the basketball betting season with almost 10 per game.

Portland was ranked a poor 26th on offense and just 22nd on the basketball betting charts for defense.  Despite the slow start Portland was tied for second place in the weak Northwest Division.  The Orlando Magic began the basketball betting season with a record of 3-2 straight up and 2-3 against the NBA betting odds.

Four of Orlando’s first five games went under the basketball betting total.  After losing their first two games both straight up and against the basketball betting line Orlando recovered to win three in a row straight up, beating the basketball betting lines in two of those games.

After those first five games Orlando ranked 18th on the basketball betting charts for offense and a solid 10th on defense.  Dwight Howard led the Magic to start the basketball betting season with an average of over 20-points per game.  He also led the Magic in rebounds with a most impressive 13.2-per game to start the basketball betting season.
