Basketball Betting on 76ers vs. Bulls at Sports Gambling

Basketball betting fans have seen the Chicago Bulls emerge from the dead towards being on the threshold of the NBA betting post season.

Basketball betting on Philadelphia has not been a good value despite their equally surprising straight up success this NBA betting season.  Basketball betting fans had high expectations for the Philadelphia 76ers this season but not because of their current lineup.

The off season acquisition of forward Elton Brand from the Los Angeles Clippers was expected to catapult Philadelphia into potentially elite NBA betting territory.

The great irony of this is that Philadelphia had their least amount of basketball betting success when Brand was in the lineup as the Sixers were out of the top eight in the eastern conference and floundering.

Since Brand was lost to a season ending shoulder injury Philadelphia ignited and became a post season contender that would offer occasional surprise value against the basketball betting lines.  Philly had an overall basketball betting record of 39-35 straight up and 34-38-2 against the spread.

The Chicago Bulls were also floundering for most of the first half of the basketball betting season but then found their stride in the second half to come out of nowhere to emerge as a likely playoff team from the east.

From January 25 through March 31 the Bulls were one of the best basketball betting values on the board as they went 21-10-1 against the basketball betting lines.  Chicago has been a reliable home team as they had a basketball betting record of 20-16 against the spread with just 14 out of those 36 games going under the total.

Ben Gordon has been a major ingredient in the basketball betting success of the Bulls as he led the team in scoring with an average of 20.5 points per game.  Gordon has been the main reason for Chicago being a top ten offensive team in the league.

The Bulls defense, however, has been a drag as it ranked just 21st overall in the NBA charts.  The Bulls covered their last meeting against the Sixers in a 101-104 loss as 3.5-point road dogs on March 13.
