Basketball Betting - NBA's Opening Week Loaded With Action!

Basketball betting begins with a regular season opening of Tuesday night to bet the NBA odds with that will include a TNT double header!

Basketball betting fans can look at a phenomenal TNT opener of the two favorites with the NBA odds to win the eastern conference as Cleveland hosts Boston. The most important Celtic, forward Kevin Garnett is back for the basketball betting season though still not at 100%.

Boston coach Doc Rivers has the highest expectations with the NBA odds this year.  “I think we have enough talent to win the world championship”, said Rivers.  Basketball betting expectations are just as high in Cleveland, however, as Shaquille O’Neal has arrived as post man to pair up with the NBA’s greatest player, LeBron James.

James was the NBA most valuable player last year as he had a monster basketball betting season in which he averaged 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game.  The TNT basketball betting night cap will feature an all-LA affair as the defending champion Lakers host the hapless Clippers.

The loaded Lakers added veteran Ron Artest to shore up their defense, which has been considered their basketball betting weakness.  “The defensive player we’ve wanted over the course of the last couple of years”, said Laker coach Phil Jackson.  “Defense is going to be the item of the day”.

The Clippers’ Blake Griffin, the top pick in last summer’s draft, will make his basketball betting debut.  ESPN features a Wednesday double header of New Orleans at San Antonio followed by Utah at Denver.  Denver was the basketball betting surprise of the playoffs last year as they made the conference finals.  Expectations are high as a result.

“I believe this team can win a championship”, said head coach George Karl.  Carmelo Anthony had his best season for the Nuggets and is becoming a complete player.  Guard Chauncey Billups and center Nene are the other key players.  Denver’s only weakness may be their depth.

Thursday action returns to TNT with a double header that opens with San Antonio at Chicago followed by Denver at Portland.  Portland made the playoffs for the first time since 2003 last year and is hungry for more.

“We expect more”, said all star guard Brandon Roy.  “There’s a lot of talent here. We’re good enough that we need to go farther in the playoffs”.
