Basketball Betting: LA Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Basketball betting the Lakers and Grizzlies game is a NBA basketball betting question of first or worst.

Basketball betting fans always look first to the Lakers, which is understandable this year.  Memphis offers little NBA basketball betting appeal to the general public.  After a surprising and blistering start to the basketball betting season the Los Angeles Lakers have gone back to their normal NBA basketball betting role of being a highly popular/public team that offers little in actual basketball betting value.

The hot start of the Lakers against the basketball betting board only served to wipe out much of the Lakers potential board value as they ended up attracting even more attention than normal.  Los Angeles had an overall basketball betting record of a sensational 21-3 straight up but just 11-13 against the basketball betting odds.

From December 5 through December 16 the Lakers went into a basketball betting free fall in which they lost 7 consecutive games against the spread, blowing out a lot of bankrolls in the process.  Los Angeles has been a better NBA basketball betting value on the road, however, as they were 5-4 against the spread.

As a basketball betting chalk the Lakers were 10-13 against the spread.  Despite a bad overall basketball betting record and reputation the Memphis Grizzlies are not without positive angles to consider.  Memphis had an overall basketball betting record of 9-16 straight up and 11-13-1 against the basketball betting odds.

Memphis had a profitable basketball betting record at home of 7-5-1 against the spread.  Memphis was a break even basketball betting proposition as a dog with a mark of 9-9 against the spread.

The Grizzlies did pick up their board performance quite a bit recently as from December 8 through December 16 they went undefeated in 5 games against the spread.  OJ Mayo led Memphis in scoring with an average of 21 points per game and has been a consistent plus all season.

Mayo is about the only offense Memphis has, however, as they ranked 25th overall in the league offensive charts. has the Lakers and Grizzlies for you!
