Basketball Betting: Indiana Pacers vs. San Antonio Spurs

Basketball betting Tuesday includes an inter-conference matchup of the Pacers and Spurs in online basketball betting action from San Antonio.

Basketball betting handicappers may be surprised at the board values of these two teams as it is not quite what online basketball betting fans would expect at first glance.  The Indiana Pacers have been a far better basketball betting value than their straight up record would indicate.

The Pacers had an overall basketball betting mark of just 15-25 straight up but were a profitable 21-18-1 against the basketball betting odds.

Indiana’s utter lack of online basketball betting appeal with the public is what gives them such outstanding added-value as the linemakers will give gamblers extra points in order to entice them the Pacers way.

Indiana was in a good basketball betting stretch from January 7 through January 16 as they went 5-1 against the spread despite winning just 3 of those games straight up, which is a great example of how good their online basketball betting value has been.

The Pacers are not without basketball betting assets starting with their offense which was ranked 3rd in the NBA.  Their 28th ranked defense has been their weakness.  Indiana has been a solid basketball betting over team on the road with a mark of 14-8 over the total.  The Pacers were 15-10-1 against the spread as dogs.

Danny Granger leads that explosive Pacer offense with an average of 26.3 points per game.  The San Antonio Spurs had an overall basketball betting mark of a strong 25-13 straight up but a weak 17-20-1 against the basketball betting odds.

From December through January 16 the Spurs basketball betting problems continued as they went just 3-6 against the spread during that span despite winning 6 of those games straight up.  The Spurs and Pacers have proven to be mirror opposites this month as far as basketball betting value.

San Antonio’s basketball betting strength was their 8th ranked defense.  The Spurs were just 12-15-1 against the spread as chalks.  Tony Parker was their leading scorer with an average of 21 points per game.
