Basketball Betting Has Full Opening Weekend of Games!

Basketball betting fans will have plenty of action to bet the NBA odds with this weekend with a full list of games beginning with a ESPN Friday double header.

Basketball betting action for Friday on ESPN will open with Chicago at Boston followed by a late night game to wager with the NBA odds as the Lakers host Dallas. The Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics played an epic basketball betting playoff series last year that went the full 7 games before Boston escaped with the NBA odds as 5 of the games were decided by 3 points or less and 7 overtime sessions were played.

Chicago coach Vinny Del Negro will emphasize defense for this basketball betting season to try and make the Bulls a more complete team.  “We scored enough points last year”, said Del Negro. “We didn’t defend or rebound as well as any of us would like. We’ll emphasize defense. We’ll emphasize rebounding. Offense usually takes care of itself”.

The Bulls have last basketball betting season’s rookie of the year, Derrick Rose.  The Dallas Mavericks realize that the clock is ticking on the Dirk Nowitzki era and they brought Shaw Marion in to help.  Veteran Jason Kidd also returns for the basketball betting season.

“We want to make the team better”, said Dallas coach Rick Carlisle.  “When you have a superstar player, you want to make sure you have the right components around him”.  The Mavericks will continue in weekend basketball betting action with a Saturday game at the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers will have number one pick Blake Griffin in their basketball betting lineup.  Griffin is working the defensive end of the court in preparation for his rookie NBA season.  “The shots and other stuff will come later”, said Griffin.  “Right now, I just have to rebound and protect the basket”.

NBA TV will feature an attractive basketball betting matchup for Sunday as the Boston Celtics host the New Orleans Hornets, a western conference playoff team from last year that is looking for more in 2009-10.

“We’re not just thinking about the playoffs, we’re talking about winning a championship”, said Hornets owner George Shinn.  The Lakers will host the Atlanta Hawks on the final game of the weekend Sunday night.
