Basketball Betting: Denver Nuggets vs. Dallas Mavericks

Basketball betting includes what should be a high-flying Western Conference affair as Denver meets Dallas.

This looks like an “Even Steven” basketball betting matchup.  NBA basketball betting fans respect any team that is coached by George Karl and the Denver Nuggets are no exception.  After trading controversial guard Allen Iverson earlier this basketball betting season Denver has climbed atop the Northwest Division.

Basketball betting fans have been most impressed with Denver’s 5th ranked offense, which is led by team superstar Carmelo Anthony, who was averaging 21 points per game.  Anthony also led the Nuggets in assists with 7 per game and rebounds with 8 per game.  Anthony is one of the most important factors in NBA basketball betting.

Denver perked up somewhat from November 29 through December 10 as they were 5-1 straight up and 4-2 against the basketball betting lines.  Denver went on a strong NBA basketball betting over/under run of 8 overs in 9 games from November 23 through December 10.

Denver was an “under” basketball betting road team with 6 unders in 11 road games.  Overall the Nuggets had a record of 15-7 straight up and 13-8-1 against the basketball betting odds.  Denver was an even 3-3 split as a basketball betting dog.  The basketball betting fortunes of the Dallas Mavericks have not been good this year.

Dallas had an overall record of 12-9 straight up and 9-12 against the basketball betting odds.  Dallas slipped back into a poor basketball betting pattern from December 2 through December 11 as they were 1-4 against the spread.  Dallas has been a terrible basketball betting proposition at home with a mark of 2-9 against the board.

Dallas had an over/under basketball betting mark of 10-11 under the total, but was 6-5 over the total at home.  The Mavericks were just 6-9 against the spread as a basketball betting chalk this year.  Dirk Nowitzki was a bright spot for the Mavericks as he led the team in scoring with an average of 25 points per game.

He also led the team in assists with 9 per game.  It does appear that the Mavericks are no longer an elite team in the NBA.
