Basketball Betting: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Basketball betting Wednesday offers one of the hottest teams on the board as Cleveland meets Minnesota in a NBA basketball betting matchup of stark contrasts.

Basketball betting on the Cleveland Cavaliers has been a virtual cash cow this season.  The Cavs have been far and away one of the best values on the NBA basketball betting board, which is somewhat surprising due to their “public” appeal.  Basketball betting fans flock to teams such as Cleveland, who features pro basketball’s greatest player, LeBron James.

It is a normal NBA basketball betting law that teams that attract a lot of public money do not offer much in basketball betting value.  Somehow, however, Cleveland has defied the NBA basketball betting laws as there doesn’t seem to be a number big enough to post on the board for their games.

The big basketball betting question and concern is when that value finally is matched by the basketball betting line makers.  Overall Cleveland had a record of 20-3 straight up and 19-4 against the basketball betting odds.  The Cavaliers had a road basketball betting record of 8-2 against the spread with 6 of the 10 games going under the total.

Cleveland was an absolutely lethal and eye-popping 17-2 against the spread as a basketball betting chalk!  James has been a machine this year as he leads the Cavs in almost everything.  James was scoring 27 points per game and was back and forth with Zydrunas Ilgauskas for the team assist lead.

James also averaged 6 assists per game.  It is interesting to note that not all that long ago, Minnesota coach Kevin McHale was considered to be one of the top executives in all of sports.  That is certainly no longer the case within the basketball betting community.

McHale recently took over the Wolves as coach and Minnesota did go on a mini basketball betting run in which they covered 2 of his first 3 games.  But the Wolves are one of the league’s worst teams and had an overall record of 4-18 straight up and 8-14 against the basketball betting odds.

Minnesota was 3-8 against the spread at home and was 8-11 against the board as a basketball betting dog.  The Wolves were ranked 25th overall on offense while ranking 22nd overall on defense. has the Wolves and Cavs for you.
