MLB odds excitement is high for the Marlins as they are making people believe that if the Philadelphia Phillies slip up in the National League East Division, Florida would be the top MLB betting alternative.

The Florida Marlins will host the Washington Nationals on Saturday night with a starting time of 7:10 PM ET.  Be sure to open your Sports Gambling account and have it ready for action on the side and total on this National League East Division showdown of top young teams.

The scheduled probable starting pitchers for this matchup are Tom Gorzelanny for Washington and Chris Volstad for Florida.

Washington had a baseball gambling record of 13-14 and was 5-7 on the road with 9 of their 12 road games going over the total.  The Nats had one of the most promising young pitching staffs in the major leagues as they ranked 10th for earned run average.  Gorzelanny was 0-2 but had a respectable earned run average of 3.97.

Drew Storen was near perfect out of the bullpen with 5 saves and a 0.60 earned run average.  The Nats batting order was their weakness as their top hitter, Jayson Werth, was hitting just .242 with 4 home runs and 7 runs batted in as Washington was ranked 25th in the big leagues for run production.

The Florida Marlins are beginning to see the dividends from their investment in young talent over the years as they are coming of age and began the season with a record of 17-9 with the MLB lines.  Florida was 10-5 at home and went over the total in 9 out of their 15 home games.

The Marlins showed great balance as they ranked 9th for runs scored and 6th for staff earned run average.  Volstad was one of the few Florida pitchers that was struggling as he was 2-1 with a 5.32 earned run average.

Heading into this series Florida has dominated the Nats with 15 wins in the last 20 games between the teams.  Florida had beaten Washington in 14 out of their last 20 games at home with 3 of the last 4 games of that span going over the MLB odds total.
