Neither team has played well of late but since the Twins are at home they are likely to be a slight favorite in baseball betting odds.
MLB gambling could have an interesting pitching matchup in this game. If the pitching rotation holds then it would be Ricky Romero getting the start for the Blue Jays against Minnesota’s Brian Duensing. Romero was not very good last time out against Detroit as he gave up six runs and five hits in just over three innings.
He is only 2-4 on the year with a 4.04 ERA but he has owned the Twins in his career with a 3-0 record and a 2.48 ERA. Duensing went just two innings last time out against Boston but that was not his fault as the rains came at Fenway Park on Saturday and Duensing did not come back out after the delay. He gave up one run on three hits in two innings.
He is 2-2 on the season with a 3.00 ERA. Duensing has pitched just 11 1/3 innings in his career against the Blue Jays and does not have a decision with an ERA of 5.56.
The Blue Jays love playing at Minnesota as they have won 8 of the last 10. It is unusual to see a road team have that much success and it is not like the Twins have had poor teams in recent years. This season the Twins have struggled but in the past they have been good.
The Blue Jays won three of four at Minnesota last season and three of the four went over the total in MLB gambling. In this series at Minnesota, five of the last six meetings have gone over the total in baseball betting odds.
Toronto has been right at the league average in runs per game at 4.2 and in ERA at 3.84. Even though the Blue Jays have a big bat in Jose Bautista they are still not producing runs consistently this season.
The Twins have rotten numbers all the way around. They are right near the bottom of the league in runs scored and in team ERA. The Twins have been decimated by injuries and there is not much to like about Minnesota right now in MLB betting.
